VII. Time to clean the fixture. First dust off the arms with a rag. You can use a hair dryer or blower to blow off the dust but watch the heat. Use a chandelier or glass cleaner and spray generously on a lint-free cloth. You can use a homemade cleaner solution of hot water and white vinegar. Wring the cloth dry, then wipe down the arms. For each part, dip or spray cleaner solution each time.
Now, say, you have a long dining table (that has a length of 100" or more) and you wish to hang two chandeliers above it. In that case, you need to divide the width of the table by 3, to get the diameter of each chandelier. Now, let us consider another example.
These are few fixtures which are normally being used by people to enhance the beauty of their dining room. If you are not sure about adding lights to the dining room, you can always take advice from an interior decorator or designer.
Start by being proactive and dusting your chandelier often and thoroughly. This will keep excess dirt off your chandelier. Once a month dusting will keep most hanging lights shining nicely. Lighting in or near kitchens or fireplaces (or even in areas where you regularly burn candles) will require dusting weekly since they are in locations that collect grease and soot. Also, dust your chandeliers and other hanging lamps often if you have a smoker in your household. This smoke clings to surfaces just as fireplace smoke does.
