Murano glass has been around for centuries and the name comes from where it originated, on the Venetian island of Murano. Over the years the glassmakers on the island developed various techniques used in glassblowing, such as crystalline and enamelled glass, glass with gold threads running through it, multicoloured glass, milk glass, and glass imitation gemstones. These days thousands of tourists are drawn to Murano to see skilled artisans using the same techniques they did centuries ago and to buy some beautiful art glass, figurines and glass chandeliers.
Afro Celotto gained the title of "First master" glass-maker at the "La Murrina" international glass factory located on the Island of Murano. There he devoted his time to mastering 2 of the oldest Venetian glass blowing techniques known as FILIGRANA and MURRINA.
As you can probably already imagine, moose antler chandeliers are epic, memorable dcor pieces, but they dont crowd well in loft-size kitchens, assuredly (and dont try making them into bedside antler lamps, either). One average moose antler is about 3 foot by 3 foot in size (imagine how relieved that moose must feel every spring when he sheds that monstrous hat.)
The largest chandelier in the world, the Reflective Flow, weighs 39,683 lb., and is installed in the Ali Bin Khalifa Al Hitmi & Co building in Doha, Qatar.
