Elegant Foyer with Sparkling ChandelierHere I will start with my favorite lighting option - the sparkling chandeliers! If you are one of those lucky people who have a high, wide and large foyer, add a beautiful chandelier, right in the middle of the roof. Choose from crystal, metallic or wrought iron chandelier, depending upon the rest of your home dcor. Add a few decorative table lamps to the foyer too, as they will fill out the large space and make it look beautiful. On the other hand, for those of you who have a small foyer in their house, recessed lighting and wall sconces are a good option. The best thing about recessed lighting is that it illuminates the space without giving the impression of consuming or occupying it. That's why, a small foyer seems a bit wide if recessed lighting is used in it.
There are also other things to consider when searching for unique candle chandeliers for your home. For instance, candle chandeliers come in a variety of shapes and styles, ranging from elegant to contemporary. The overall look and feel of your home will probably be your best guide when picking out a candle chandelier. You will also need to think about how many arms you want in a candle chandelier, and just how decorative you want them to be. Naturally, chandeliers with a large number of arms, and those with more detailed designs will tend to fetch higher prices.
Install molding in rooms with high ceilings. and the wall below can be painted a dark shade to create an illusion of a lower, false ceiling. Avoid painting the ceiling white because, it will cause the room to lose the cohesiveness and warmth a house should have. Use a neutral shade for a bright look, and add a wash of color to the ceiling such as, rose-based gray, rustic terracotta, mellow yellow and other such colors. Wall papers with bold, large and rich prints can also be used.
These were some lighting ideas to create a soft and smooth look. But, if you wish to try something fun and eye-catching then you can go for some hanging ceiling lighting. These can be done in combination with rope lighting or with can lights too. You can keep a center hanging light fixture and at sides keep some additional lights. This will create a great accent. Or you can simply get many hanging lights which look similar and install them in various places on the ceiling.
